Anti-Graffiti Paints & Coatings

We have been applying anti-graffiti coatings of various types for over 18 years. Anti-Graffiti coatings can be sacrificial, these can be wax or sugar based coatings which when treated with water over 70 deg Celsius will melt and wash off taking the graffiti with them. The coating then has to be re-applied. These coatings are fairly cheap to apply but if they need to be re-applied frequently they can become less cost effective. We applied this type of coating to subway walls in Watford some years ago and they are still working and provide a simple easy way to remove graffiti.

Permanent anti-graffiti coatings are usually based on a tough glossy polyurethane or siloxane based coating, from which graffiti can easily be removed either with wipes impregnated with solvent or by using a citrus based cleaning agent and washing off with cold or warm water. We have been applying this type of coating to street furniture as part of the RHINOCEROS Anti-Flyposting System for 18 years. This is a very tough, clear, glossy coating which remains clean and shiny for years even in dirty city centres. We have also successfully applied this to brick walls on housing estates in London. This coating can be applied to most substrates and previously coated surfaces. We can also supply an opaque siloxane based anti-graffiti coating which is available in most colours.

Recently we have applied Keim MX Glaze anti-graffiti coatings to all of the subway walls around the Imax cinema at Waterloo for Transport for London. See the Imax Cinema London case study for more details.

We maintain some 55 pedestrian subways in central London and our experience in removing graffiti from these shows that the easiest surface to remove graffiti from is a glazed ceramic tile!

Whatever your graffiti removal or prevention needs, RHINOCEROS has the expertise to solve your graffiti problems!
